Though our Office is unattended outside hours our rostered 24-hour call-out tradesman glazier can be reached telephoning our main number. Should he be occupied or temporarily out of range our unique "escalated paging service" will ensure you receive a return call from our glazier within a few minutes of your call. Our glazier carries a selection of glass on his vehicle and will endeavour to complete the reglaze by cutting the glass on site. For larger work our back-up team is available to ensure your premises are secured as soon as possible.

• Spare Parts for Windows And Doors - During office hours we can attend to your requirements in person. We stock a large range of aluminium window and doors spare parts. Bring in a sample of your requirement and our friendly staff will advise on availability of replacements.

• Glass and Glazing Audits - Legal precedence has been set in Australia where building owners have been found responsible where persons have been injured by glass and glazing. • Laminated Glass - Stirling Glass and Aluminium recommends patio doors be reglazed in laminated glass. Our glazier's vehicles are stocked with Pilkington 6.38 mm laminated glass. Toughened glass used to glaze patio doors by many manufacturers presents no barrier to intruders who insert a screwdriver blade between the gasket and toughened glass and simply twist, the pressure point explodes the whole panel. Like an old motor car windscreen, breaking into tens of thousands of crystals that can be pushed out to gain entry.
• Security Glass - Stirling Glass and Aluminium is frequently consulted to improve the security of glazing. Toughened glass is a Grade A safety glazing material conforming to Australian Standards however prevents little resistance to intruders. (breaks into small crystals like the old type motor car windscreen) We recommend 6.38 mm. laminated glass replacement, yet there is a one better LamGuard® Pilkington the world's leading glass manufacturer developed LamGuard and subjected LamGuard™ and the most popular glass types to an impact test, to replicate an intruder repeatedly hitting the glass with a hammer.
