Though our Office is unattended outside hours our rostered 24-hour call-out tradesman glazier can be reached telephoning our main number. Should he be occupied or temporarily out of range our unique "escalated paging service" will ensure you receive a return call from our glazier within a few minutes of your call. Our glazier carries a selection of glass on his vehicle and will endeavour to complete the reglaze by cutting the glass on site. For larger work our back-up team is available to ensure your premises are secured as soon as possible.

- Laminated Glass - Stirling Glass and Aluminium recommends patio doors be reglazed in laminated glass. Our glazier's vehicles are stocked with Pilkington 6.38 mm laminated glass. Toughened glass used to glaze patio doors by many manufacturers presents no barrier to intruders who insert a screwdriver blade between the gasket and toughened glass and simply twist, the pressure point explodes the whole panel. Like an old motor car windscreen, breaking into tens of thousands of crystals that can be pushed out to gain entry.
- Security Glass - Stirling Glass and Aluminium is frequently consulted to improve the security of glazing. Toughened glass is a Grade A safety glazing material conforming to Australian Standards however prevents little resistance to intruders. (breaks into small crystals like the old type motor car windscreen)

With Pilkington LamGuard®, you can make your home more secure without detracting from its appearance.
LamGuard® comprises two panes of glass bonded together by a clear 1.52 mm. vinyl interlayer.
This interlayer in LamGuard® is 4 times thicker than in normal 6.38 mm. laminated safety glass. Long enough to deter any would-be intruder.
